These terms cover your use of Polylex (polylex.app). By creating an account or buying a plan you agree to them. We have kept them short and plain.
Polylex is a spaced repetition language learning app. We offer a Free tier and paid plans (Pro and Lifetime). We may improve, change, or add features over time. We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" without a guarantee of uninterrupted access.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. One account is for one person; please do not share account credentials. You must be at least 16 to use Polylex.
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and handles the transaction and any applicable taxes. Prices are shown before you pay and may be in USD or EUR depending on your location.
You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time; it stops renewing and you keep access until the end of the current paid period. Lifetime access does not renew and so does not need cancelling.
Polylex is digital content that you get access to immediately. By purchasing and starting to use a paid plan you ask us to begin providing it right away and you acknowledge that, once access has started, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content (where it applies, for example in the EU) no longer applies.
That said, we want you to be happy: if something is wrong, or you bought by mistake and have barely used the paid features, email [email protected] within 14 days and we will sort out a fair refund. Unredeemed gift codes can be refunded within 14 days; a gift code that has already been redeemed cannot.
A gift purchase produces a one-time code. Whoever holds the code can redeem it once for the gifted plan. Treat it like cash: anyone with the code can use it. We are not responsible for codes shared or lost by the buyer.
Polylex can generate a short video clip of a word you are studying and share it to your own TikTok account. Using this feature is your choice: it only works after you connect your TikTok account, and every share is initiated by you. The clip is generated from the card's dictionary content (the word, its pronunciation audio, and an example sentence).
Do not misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorized access to it, and no reselling access. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or these terms.
Polylex and its software, design, and generated study content are ours. Notes you write are yours; you grant us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
To the extent the law allows, Polylex is provided without warranties and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms; we will change the date above when we do. For material changes affecting paid plans we will give reasonable notice.
