Etymology
إِثارَة is the verbal noun of the verb أَثارَ, the form IV causative of the root ث-و-ر, which carries the sense of rising up or being stirred. The base verb ثارَ means to rise, to revolt, or to boil over, and the same root gives the word ثَوْرَة, meaning revolution. The causative form thus means to stir something up, and the noun names that act or its effect.
