مُوَفِّرprovider, one who saves
Etymology
The verb comes from the Semitic triconsonantal root و-ف-ر (w-f-r), which carries the idea of abundance and plenty. In Form II the doubled middle radical gives a causative sense: to make plentiful, and so to provide or to build up a surplus. From that surplus meaning the modern sense of saving money developed.
