Etymology
Παμπ is a direct phonetic borrowing of the English word "pub," itself a short form of "public house." It entered Greek in the late twentieth century as British and Irish style bars spread in Greek cities. Like many recent loanwords, it keeps one fixed form and does not take Greek case or number endings.
