Etymology

صِحَّة comes from the Semitic root ص-ح-ح, which carries the sense of being sound, correct, and free of fault. The same root gives صَحِيح (correct, healthy) and صَحَّ (to be true or sound). The noun names the state of bodily soundness, and by extension the truth or validity of a thing. Arabic is Semitic, not Indo-European, so it has no PIE root.
