Etymology
παραβίαση is the action noun of the verb παραβιάζω, built from the prefix παρα- (against, amiss) and βιάζω (to force), which itself comes from βία (force, violence). The suffix -ση turns the verb into a noun naming the act or its result. The origin of βία itself is not securely established, so no Indo-European root is given here.
