Etymology
Dispoziție entered Romanian from French disposition, which comes from Latin dispositio, itself from the verb disponere, 'to arrange, place apart.' Disponere is built from dis- ('apart, in different directions') and ponere ('to place, put'). The same Latin root gives Romanian words like a dispune and dispozitiv, and shows up across the Romance and English vocabulary as 'position,' 'dispose,' and 'disposition.'
