Etymology
إِنْهاء is the verbal noun of the Form IV verb أَنْهَى, 'to bring to an end.' It is built on the triliteral Semitic root ن-ه-ي, which carries the senses of reaching a limit and of forbidding. The causative Form IV turns the basic idea of 'coming to an end' into 'making something end.' Because the final radical is a weak yāʾ, the regular إِفعال pattern surfaces as إِفعاء, giving the closing hamza.
