رابِح is the active participle of the Arabic verb ربح (rabaḥa), meaning to profit or to gain, built on the triliteral root ر-ب-ح. The root covers commercial profit as well as winning more broadly, so رابِح can describe a winning team as easily as a profitable business. It follows the common فَاعِل (fāʿil) pattern that Arabic uses across many roots to form the noun for the one who does the action.
