قُدْرة (qudra)power, ability
مُقَدَّر (muqaddar)estimated; predestined, fated

Etymology

The verb comes from the Semitic triliteral root q-d-r, which carries the joined senses of measuring and having power. In Form II the middle radical doubles, which shifts the meaning toward setting a measure: estimating an amount, fixing a worth, or, of God, decreeing a fate. The same root yields qadar, "destiny," and qudra, "power."
