Etymology
The adjective αποψινός is built on the adverb απόψε, meaning 'tonight' or 'this evening'. Απόψε itself goes back to Ancient Greek ἀπόψε, a compound of ἀπό ('from') and ὀψέ ('late, in the evening'). The suffix -ινός, common in Modern Greek, turns time adverbs into adjectives, as in βραδινός ('evening's') and πρωινός ('morning's').
