Etymology
Πάτσι entered spoken Greek as a loanword, most likely from Italian patta, meaning a draw or tie in a settled account or game. It fixed itself in Greek as an indeclinable noun, used almost only in the phrase είμαστε πάτσι, meaning neither side owes the other anything. Because it is a borrowing, it has no native Greek or Indo-European root.
