Etymology
Σύγχυση comes from the ancient verb συγχέω, built from σύν (together) and χέω (to pour). The original sense was literal: to pour different things together into one mass. Over time the meaning shifted from a physical mixing to a mental one, the blurred, muddled state of not being able to tell things apart.
