Etymology
Ajunge descends from Latin adiungere, meaning to join to or attach. Over time the sense shifted from physical joining to the idea of joining a destination, and so came to mean arriving or reaching a place. The same verb also drifted toward an abstract sense of sufficiency, as in something joining up to meet a need, which gives the modern meaning of being enough.
