Etymology
Gândit is the past participle of a gândi, to think. The verb comes from Latin cogitare, the same verb that gave English cogitate. In Romanian the initial co- dropped and the surviving syllables shifted into gândi, with the noun gând (thought, mind) forming alongside it. The participle gândit simply adds the standard -it ending used for this verb class.
