Etymology
Ordonat is the past participle of the verb a ordona, used as an adjective. A ordona was borrowed into Romanian from French ordonner, which in turn descends from Latin ordinare, meaning to arrange or put in order. The Latin root ordo, meaning row, rank, or order, gave Romanian the related noun ordine.
