Etymology

Reușit is the past participle of the verb a reuși, "to succeed", which Romanian borrowed from French réussir in the nineteenth century, during a period when French vocabulary reshaped much of the modern Romanian lexicon. French réussir itself came from Italian riuscire, built from ri- (again) plus uscire ("to go out", from Latin exire). Romanian simply added its native past-participle ending -t to the borrowed stem reuși- to form the adjective reușit.
