Etymology
تجميل is the verbal noun of جَمَّلَ, "to beautify," a Form II verb built on the triliteral root ج-م-ل. The core sense of this root is beauty or comeliness. The same root also gives جميل, beautiful, and جمال, beauty. Arabic is a Semitic language, not an Indo-European one, so it has no PIE ancestor.
