Etymology

تَوْضِيح comes from the Arabic root و ض ح (w-ḍ-ḥ), which carries the sense of clarity, brightness, and distinctness. It is the verbal noun of the Form II verb وضّح (waḍḍaḥa), 'to make clear,' formed by doubling the middle root letter to give a causative meaning. The same root produces واضح (wāḍiḥ), 'clear' or 'obvious.' Arabic is a Semitic language, so its root system does not descend from Proto-Indo-European, and no PIE root applies here.
