Etymology
Nazah is a classical Arabic masdar (verbal noun) built on the triliteral root n-z-h, the same root behind the far more common noun nazaha, integrity. Old dictionaries such as Lisan al-Arab define it as distance or freedom from foulness, whether physical filth or moral vice. The root also gave rise to the verb tanazzaha, to keep oneself away from something unclean, which later shifted in everyday Arabic to mean going for a walk or an outing.
