Etymology
Κουρασμένος is the passive participle of the verb κουράζω, meaning to tire someone out. Κουράζω traces back to Byzantine Greek, where it was borrowed from the Latin verb curare, to take care of or attend to, itself from the noun cura, care. The sense shifted over time from care and effort toward the fatigue that effort produces.
