Etymology
παντρεύτηκα is the aorist of the medio-passive verb παντρεύομαι, which descends from medieval Greek ὑπανδρεύομαι, literally 'to come/be placed under a husband'. It contains ἀνήρ (genitive ἀνδρός) 'man, husband', with the prefix ὑπ- ('under') eroding to παν-/παντρ- over time. The form was originally used of a woman entering marriage, but in Modern Greek it is used by speakers of any gender.
