Etymology
Greek borrowed "σέξι" directly from the English adjective "sexy" in the twentieth century, as Anglo-American pop culture and advertising spread through Europe. In Greek it settled into two related uses: an indeclinable adjective meaning "sexy," and a neuter noun meaning "sex appeal" or "sexiness." English "sexy" itself comes from "sex" plus the adjective suffix "-y," and "sex" traces back to Latin "sexus."
