Etymology
Συνδέω comes from ancient Greek and combines the prefix σύν- (together, with) and the verb δέω (to bind, to tie). The compound literally meant to bind things together, and it kept that sense as it shifted from physical tying to abstract connection. Modern Greek uses it for roads, networks, ideas, and relationships alike.
