Etymology

Agendă comes from French agenda, which took its form directly from Latin agenda, the neuter plural of agendum, the gerundive of agere, meaning to do or to drive. Latin agenda literally meant things that must be done. Romanian, like French and English, borrowed the Latin plural as a single word and reshaped it with the feminine singular ending -ă.
