Etymology
Concluzie entered Romanian in the 19th century from French conclusion, part of a wave of French borrowings that modernized Romanian vocabulary. French conclusion goes back to Latin conclusio, a noun built on concludere, meaning to close or shut up together. The Latin verb itself combines con- (together) with claudere (to close).
