Etymology
بَيان comes from the triliteral Semitic root ب-ي-ن (b-y-n), which centers on clarity, distinctness, and separation. The same root yields بَيْن "between" and بَيَّنَ "to make clear." As a verbal noun it names both the act of making something plain and the formal text that does so. The modern sense of an official communiqué grew out of this core idea of clear exposition.
