Etymology
Romanian borrowed "antrenament" from French "entraînement", which comes from the verb "entraîner", meaning to pull along or to train. That French verb traces back to Latin "trahere", to draw or pull. The sporting sense of training as a form of being pulled through practice developed in French before spreading to Romanian.
