Etymology
Deranjat is the past participle of the verb a deranja, which Romanian borrowed from French déranger during the 19th-century wave of French loanwords into Romanian. French déranger itself comes from Old French desrengier, built from des- (undoing) and rengier (to put in a row), which relates to rang (row, rank). Romanian simply took the whole French verb and added its own native participle ending -at.
