Etymology
Grăbim is the first-person plural present form of the verb a grăbi, built on the noun grabă, meaning haste. Grabă entered Romanian from a Slavic source, part of a large layer of Slavic vocabulary absorbed into the language over centuries of contact. The verb simply adds Romanian verbal endings to that borrowed root.
