Etymology
نَزْع is the verbal noun of the Form I verb نَزَعَ, built on the native Semitic root ن-ز-ع, which carries the core sense of pulling something out or stripping it away. The root is attested across Arabic in both concrete uses, such as removing a tooth or a garment, and abstract ones, such as disarmament or the withdrawal of a right. Arabic is a Semitic language, not an Indo-European one, so it has no Proto-Indo-European root.
