Etymology
A 20th-century loanword borrowed into Modern Greek directly from English "test". The English word in turn descends through Old French from Latin "testum/testa" (an earthen pot used by assayers to test metals). In Greek it is fully naturalized but remains indeclinable, keeping its foreign monosyllabic shape.
